Linda,

You can probably take magnesium citrate, but the IMVA recommends using magnesium chloride instead so it bypasses the stomach where absorption problems frequently occur. Get some Ancient Minerals Magnesium Oil and start massaging it into your skin daily.

Dana,

You can either get some ancient Minerals Magnesium oil and spray it on your son's skin (1-2 oz. per day--- start low and increase gradually) if his kidney function is good, or you can get some magnesium flakes and add this to his bath water (foot baths can be done too):

http://www.magneticclay.com/

Also Read up on this information and how to use magnesium oil at our Magnesium for lIfe site:

and get the book: Transdermal Magnesium Therapy - 2nd edition:

where its available in hardcover, softcover and for the Kindle.

My 9 year old son has been struggling for the past 6 months or so with motor ticks that came out of nowhere...as well as behavior problems he has never experienced or exhibited before, all increasing in intensity for the past few months. I am going to try this therapy for him as I do not believe he has ADHD. I have a son who is mildly autistic and an adopted daughter with fetal alcohol effect, both treated for ADHD...my 9 year old son has no learning disabilities, and I just know inside that it has to be something else going on...
I'm unsure where to start or the dosage to try, but any information or advice would be welcome. Thanks

Dear Herminia,

I'm glad you are finding some benefit from the magnesium you are using. IMVA recommends using Ancient Minerals magnesium oil (which is a natural form of magnesium chloride) instead of any oral products as it is more readily absorbed from transdermal applications and bypasses the intestinal tract which often prevents absorpiton. This has shown great improvement in Parkinson's disease and we have some great testimonials from people who have used this.

Ancient Minerals is available from LL's Magnetic Clay Co : http://www.magneticclay.com/

I would recommend that you read all you can about transdermal magnesium chloride on our Magnesium for Life website at: http://magnesiumforlife.com/

Magnesium also plays a huge role in cancer treatments, as does sodium bicarbonate, iodine and many other things on Dr. Sircus' protocols.

And Dr. Sircus will soon be publishing a new book, an introduction to cancer treatments....watch for information on this in his weekly newsletter and blog postings.

Dear Sarah,

We have found information , referenced in the book, to how doctors have treated intractable seizure disorders with use of magnesium.

If It were me I would purchase some Ancient MInerals Magnesium oil immediately and start applying it transdermally (up to two oz./day in divided doses to the skin, depending on his response and size etc.) We have testimonies from others with siezure disorders who confirm that this has worked for them too.

Get it here: http://www.magneticclay.com/

Or you can get a consultation with Dr. Sircus to discuss this further and get more information for your father.

Hi there,
I need help....My dad suffers from epilepsy. He is 59 years old and was diagnosed at the age of 9. In the last two months his seziures have took a turn for the worse. He has been put on new medication recently which is causing very bad and extream side effects to the point where he can not be left alone at all. At the moment the doctors dont seem to know what they can do but allow him to become ammune to the drugs.

I met this lady randomly in the surgery the other day and we began to talk. She gave me this website to look at. I have orderd the book (magnesium for life) but in the mean time i could do with some advice..
I would like to introduce the magnesium to dad but also dont want to make matters worse..I dont know what to do..Please Help!!!

Dear skye,

For most people 30 ml of magnesium oil/day should not be a problem. This is one ounce of magnesium oil. Its not clear why using magnesium should negatively affect your zinc levels. Depending on your specific condition more magnesium might be recommended, for example if you are a body builder who loses more magneisum than others do in daily workouts. Dr. Sircus recommends up to 2 oz. (60 ml/day) for most people (if applied on the skin). You would need to talk with him directly for more discussion on the problem with zinc and magnesium.
